Hi, I’m Jon Nettles. I’m just a regular guy with a family and a small business, but I love the Book of Revelation. I’m not a trained academic, but I’m learning more every day, and you can too. We’re going to study the book of Revelation and I’ll try to make it simple for beginners.. Come with me on this adventure. I guarantee you will be blessed as you learn!
What’s Holding You Back?
Maybe you are interested in a study on the book of Revelation that is tailored to beginners but you have these reservations holding you back:
Limiting Beliefs
- Revelation’s symbolism is confusing and I’m afraid I might misunderstand.
- It seems scary and overwhelming
- What if it causes division with other Christians?
- What if people think I am weird?
What if I told you that we could go on a journey of learning together and you could replace those limiting beliefs by praying that that God will reveal his word to you? If you hunger and thirst for righteousness you will be filled!
Pray for God to Help You Understand
- Understanding Revelation: It’s simpler if you use the rest of the Bible to explain it.
- Good vs. Evil: In the end, Jesus beats all evil!
- Different Views: It’s okay if people see things differently. We can disagree but still be kind to each other.
- Being Different: The world might find Christian beliefs strange, but we shouldn’t just follow what everyone else does. Instead, we should change how we think to understand what God wants, which is good, pleasing, and perfect.
Overcome the Obstacles
I’m praying that God helps you push past limiting beliefs so you can get the good stuff out of His Word. Sure, we might not get everything right away, but we’ll definitely understand more than we did before. Each day, God’s Word will seem less weird as you see how it all connects with the rest of the Bible. You can do it!
